Nos Vemos Papa is a 2012 Mexican film written and directed by Luca Carreras. The film shows the impact created by the death of father on a daughter. The woman lives the illusion that her father is still present in her house and in her life.
Pilar (Cecilia Surez) may have too close relationship with his father. The opening scene shows that she is going to work. Before that she lays out the breakfast in the table for her father. As she returns home it is untouched and she realises that he had died. This leads Pilar to a trauma condition and she withdraws into her own world. She thinks of her childhood like running all in the home, reading with her father etc. She re-creates the things that happened when she was with her father. Her brother Jose realised that in order to make Pilar back to normal life they had to sell the house and move on to somewhere.
But it was a difficult decision for her to made cause her emotional link to the memory of her father and the house itself was too strong.Her emotional link to father's memory leads her to an imaginary sex with father. Her unusual things made Jose to move her to his house. There Jose's wife noticed that Mini, their daughter copies everything Pilar did and was worried. She insist Jose to take her to a Psychiatrist. But he refused that idea of taking her to hospital. Jose tries everything to sell the house. But when he went to the house to take her dress and the relevant documents of the house, he can't find it. The thing was Pilar had already destroyed that. At final Jose put down the decision of selling house. Pillar gets back her home as she considered it as her soul.
