PHOTOS WITH LIFE..........

courtesy:121clicks.com

Photography is an art. Knowing the operations of a camera doesn’t make a good photographer. It is the creativity of mind which turns a camera operator to a good photographer. Every photo taken with creative mind will have a life in that. And this life brings more attracters towards it. Only a professional photographer can shot an amazing moment which can happen in a fraction of second. The speeds which he gained through experiences give pace for his hands. A person who comes across the various realms of life can only identify a photo with life.

THE HARBINGER OF THE DEATH OF NEWSPAPERS.

There was a time when people eagerly wait for newspapers in the morning. For them that was the only medium through which they can open the window and saw the world. But the arrival of digital media was a harbinger of the death of the newspapers.

According to ‘The Guardian’s’ studies in 2011, sales of Britain’s main national dailies have fallen by 6.75% in just 12 months. These figures have risen now. Recently media corporate James Murdoch had announced the closure of the ‘News of the World’, Britain’s largest selling leading Sunday newspaper. All the print publications are facing this threat. After almost 80 years of on the newsstand, ‘Newsweek’ America’s leading current affairs magazine published its last print edition in December 2012. Even the existing newspapers are trying to eliminate their supplementary editions due to loss of readers.

FORGOTTEN HEROES OF TRAVANCORE - NAIR PATTALAM

The Trivandrum city is famous for its statues, sculptures and Memorials. When someone travels through Palayam there is a small island opposite to Fine Arts College. In the island stands a tall Pillar. The inscription on the Pillar reads as “To the memory of the men of Indian Army recruited from the state of Travancore who lost their lives in the service of the empire during the Great War – 1914-1921”. But today only a few remember those warriors. They were the ‘Nair Pattalam’ who once shook the entire Travancore Kingdom. The memorial was established in the memory of the Nair Pattalam of erstwhile Travancore who laid down their lives during the First World War.
