Photography is an art. Knowing the
operations of a camera doesn’t make a good photographer. It is the creativity
of mind which turns a camera operator to a good photographer. Every photo taken
with creative mind will have a life in that. And this life brings more
attracters towards it. Only a professional photographer can shot an amazing
moment which can happen in a fraction of second. The speeds which he gained
through experiences give pace for his hands. A person who comes across the
various realms of life can only identify a photo with life.
Crowd sourcing is the new trend of
online journalism in which news, photographs and videos are gathered from a
large group of people or community, rather than from traditional employers. In
some print media now they are publishing photographs gained from crowd
sourcing. Some of them are good but most of them lack proficiency.
When Kevin Carter clicked the haunting
Sudan famine picture it had a life. The Bhopal gas tragedy picture by Raghu Rai
also portrays life. Can a crowd sourcing media publish a photo like this? Never
in their life time could they achieve this credit. To take a photograph with
life needs patience and skill. So crowd sourcing will never replace
photographers in print media organisations.
